The 10th Worcester (Crown East) Scout Group is based at Crown East on the A44 Bromyard Road about two miles to the west of Worcester.
We have a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack and a Scout Troop providing scouting for about 70 young people aged 6 to 14 in the Crown East, Rushwick, Cotheridge, Lower and Upper Broadheath, Knightwick, Martley and St John's areas.
Would you like to be part of our success and help us provide fun and adventure to more young people? All our Leaders have full-time jobs and families so that isn’t a barrier to helping out. There is no cost to being a Leader other than your time, and you don’t need to wear a uniform if you don’t want to.
Scouting isnt just about knots and lashings and reading maps. Its a massive adventure including most activities you can ever think of. We try to provide adventure but not hazard and excitment without danger. And we want to teach young people new skills, with a forest area and a field opposite we can provide a range of activities from firelighting al the way up to tommahawk throwing.
Most Leaders are or were parents of children involved in scouting and joined scouting to help out with their children. They then carried on because it was so much fun.
If you feel you could give a little time and would like to be part of the largest co-educational youth movement in the country, and help more young people enjoy the fun of Scouting, then please contact us via our Contacts page for an informal discussion of how you can help.
